Timeless Miracles

Artist's Statement

My work is an expression of my affection for the subjects I paint. These are most often categorized as "nature" and "nostalgia." I am close to old things because I love and appreciate the fine craftsmanship and hand work that went into their creation. I am equally close to nature for its inherent perfection and consistency in a world otherwise altered and controlled by mankind. My medium is transparent watercolor. I work exclusively with a primary palette consisting of red, yellow, and blue, from which an infinite array of glowing colors emerge. I paint only on 100% cotton paper with permanent pigments for longevity. My style may best be described as: "A representational blend of fantasy and reality."
