Welcome to my Watercolor Website!!

Hello, and thanks for visiting. I have lived in the South Florida area for about 30 years now, originally from the Northeast. I started watercolor painting about 3 years ago, after a long creative hiatus. It has been a wonderful gift, very peaceful and relaxing..I find painting almost like a form of meditation. I paint a variety of subjects and themes I am passionate about. One of my on going series is titled: "Ocean Reef Fish". I had the wonderful opportunity over the years to scuba dive all over the Atlantic South Florida Coast, which was where, much of my inspiration for this series arose. It's like entering another world under the sea. I try to capture a glimmer of the beauty, peace and serenity in the painting of this series. I also enjoyed Sailing for a time, and have painted a few sailboats, as well as Nature Scenes, Seascapes, Lighthouses, and Abstracts. I often incorporate the "Pride" colors of the "Rainbow" flag into my paintings. I feel that being true about who I am in all aspects of my life can create healing, for me as an individual, and ultimately, for society as a whole. The inclusion of the "Gay Pride" colors, incorporated into everyday scenes and settings, helps to convey this philosophy. Dyan~
