Artist's Biography

Carol Cottone-Kolthoff is a native Southern Californian and the bright colors of the area are reflected in her oils and watercolors. She enjoys painting the human figure as well as other subjects with through her "slice of life" point-of-view. Recently, Carol has completed a series of patriotic imagery, one of which became part of the Naval Art Collection at the Pentagon. Carol has an MFA and BFA in painting and drawing. Her work can be seen in American Artist Magazine, Nov. 2003. Carol also illustrates and teaches art at the secondary and college levels. She maintains her studio in San Diego, Ca, where she lives with her husband,daughter and animals. Some of her clients include the San Diego Zoo, Houghlin-Mifflin and Macmillan Publications. She is represented by the Left Bank Gallery in Laguna Niguel, Ca.
