Nita Scoggan

Nita Scoggan enjoyed a challenging and varied art career during her 32-years employment with the Federal Government. As a professional artist, she served for four years on the national executive board of the Society of Federal Artists & Designers, in Washington, DC.

Twenty-five years of her career were spent as an illustrator, graphics designer, and research analyst for the U.S. Air Force, at the Pentagon. Accomplishing a wide variety of assignments with enthusiasm, and creativity. Scoggan tackled such challenging projects as: architectural renderings, exhibits, portraits, briefing slides for speeches, and various illustrated items for congressional hearings or conferences.

Scoggan is the recipient of numerous awards and honors. Training included the Corcoran School of Art, and The Graduate School in Washington, DC. Her works hang in both public and private collections.

Scoggan has a deep love for America and its history. She wants to preserve the love and pride Americans have for historic site in the nation's capital. One way to do this, she feels, is through the use of scenic note cards of world-famous buildings and monuments in Washington, DC. She has produced 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" miniature reproductions, on high quality art paper. These are suitable for framing, or for use as note cards.
