"Borden's Milk"

I like all the red color in this painting. The Borden's milk bottle is very special to me because it is one of the memories
of my childhood. We had a Dairy for awhile back then and our milk went to the Borden's Creamery everyday. I was 5
years old so, I was very impressed with Elsie and her family. The rooster picture was a gift from my kids. The red in
the tomato can made a nice backdrop along with the bottle and repeated color that was in the front of the painting.

"Santa Fe Color #1"

I love all the bright colors that are found in New Mexico. I would like to live there. The paper was wet front and back and then transparent acrylic washes were added to the wet paper. Each wash was allowed to dry completely then paper was re-wet again front and back. More transparent washes were added to the wet paper until I was satisfied with the color.

"Santa Fe Color #3"

Another way of doing the same study. Still used wet into wet transparent glazes like in Santa Fe Color #1
getting a little more abstract with each painting. Still using those bright colors that I like so much.

"Stained Glass"

This flower was very near the colors in the stained glass. Another treasure I found on Mackinaw Island in MI. This flower and stained glass window were in my sketch book in black and white but remembered the colors being so near the same.
